A Napoleon III textile fragment, mid 19th century, with embroidery and applique work, bearing the letter 'N' for Napoleon III, formerly part of the upholstery belonging to the seat of a stool, 35.5 cm diameter. Other Notes: hand written text on the verso of the accompanying panel claims the stool came from the Tuileries Palace, Paris, prior to the abdication of Napolean III.
