A pair of Chinese rosewood chairs and occasional table, the splat in a twisted and knotted rope pattern with a sacred bat to the top, solid shaped seats, the table with a lower shelf (table requires minor attention). Provenance: Izak van Engers (1848-1914) a Dutch East Indies Tagrijn (metal trader); to his daughter Bertha (b.1896 Surabaya (now Djakarta), d.1970), to her niece, to her son, our vendor. 42 cm x 41 cm x 93 cm (chair) 49 cm x 75 cm (table).
