Family archive for Christoffels family who emigrated to Australia from Germany in the mid 1960s, the mostly German contents date back to 19th century including pocket watch (poor condition), several diaries, one for Bernard Joesph Christoffels dated 1845, another for the 1911-17 period with several well executed pen & ink drawings, as well a number of pressed flowers; World War II era content with ration tickets, correspondence for Wolfgang Christoffels, 1944 Mother's Day propaganda notice addressed to Mothers of the Fallen, 1944 printed Letter of Condolence for Corporal Erwin Christoffels killed in action, 1945 Certificate of Discharge and 1947 passport for Bernhard Christoffels; also quite a lot of 1950s-60s German philatelic mail (with contents) including Express Mail covers and few telegrams, attractive German cruise ship menus, family photographs, 1950s German-made drafting compasses; Australian content with covers addressed to family members in Australia, tram/railway tickets, etc. Housed in a large vintage trunk.
