Description:
A white jade Bird-Shaped pendant, late Hongshan culture, circa 4,000-3000 BC the pendant is simplistically carved in the shape of a bird with a small head, outspread wings and tail, two suspension holes were drilled from both sides of the body on the back. The stone is with a pale white tone with areas of calcified white and russet inclusions, 5.7 cm wide; 5.4 cm high. Provenance: acquired in Hong Kong in the early 90s.
