Good Chinese gilt bronze Tara, probably Qing dynasty, depicted seated with top knot and headdress, eyes down cast in serene expression, lobed ears, necklaces, hands resting in lap and legs crossed, on double lotus base, underside inscribed with four character mark, a/f, height 17.5 cm. Other Notes: this was part of a collection that was associated with Sir John Hay (1816-1892) Australian politician, member of the upper and lower house. Other items will be presented in our Australian auction in April.
