A French brass and verre eglomise table mirror, retailed by Alphonse Giroux, late 19th century, of oval form, the brass frame with applied putti, flowers and scrollwork, surrounding a clear border with silver verre eglomise decoration, enclosing a central mirrored reserve. Stamped 'Alp. Giroux/Paris' to verso, 25 cm high, 18 cm wide. Other Notes: Alphonse Giroux (1775/76?1848) was an important dealer in luxury goods and was known for trading in high-quality objects.
