A Grand Tour bronze figure of flying mercury, after Giovanni Da Bologna, 19th century, modelled balancing on one leg on an allegory of the north wind, holding the 'Caduceus' in his left hand, raised on a stepped circular marble base mounted with a bronze relief panel to central band. The statue is modelled after the original by Giovanni da Bologna (Jean Bologne) (1529-1608), 58 cm high
