Description:
A mini Capucines Crocodilien Himalayan Sahara Gold bag, Louis Vuitton. Crafted from precious crocodilien leather in mat finish, this Capucines bag features a large LV logo, four protective metal feet at base, a singular top handle and an adjustable, removable shoulder strap. Offering versatility in its design, this bag features the signature Capucine flap, which can be tucked in to reveal the signature LV logo, or worn outside to display the iconic monogram flower. The interior is lined with luxurious goatskin leather, and is separated into two gusseted compartments by a partition, with the latter section offering one slip pocket on back wall. Fitted with gleaming gold tone metal hardware. Dimensions 20 x 14 cm. Handle drop 6 cm. Comes together with a box, dustbag, bag raincoat and white handling gloves. New condition. The Louis Vuitton Capucines was named after the Parisian street where Louis Vuitton first opened a store in 1854. It is the ultimate in traditionally crafted Louis Vuitton style. This bag combines refined details, such as the semi-rigid handle secured by jewel-like rings. This is a nod to the historic steamer trunks, while the rounded flap draws inspiration from the petals of the iconic Monogram flower. The Capucines bag continues to amaze each season with its ever evolving selection of the finest exotic skins. Each Capucines bag is crafted using rare materials of the highest quality, chosen for their complex, unique nature, varying sizes, and singularity. Each bag is a unique work of art. The creation process for a single Louis Vuitton Exotic Leather bag is complex, involving around 350 hand-executed steps. From the selection of the skin to the final product, meticulous care and attention are critical at every stage. It can take anywhere from six to ten weeks to tan an exotic skin, and then an additional six weeks to colour, nurture with oils, and buff the surface of the leather to achieve the final desired finish. After this tanning process, the Maison will select only the best leather pieces available. It is at this point that the destiny of each skin is determined, and the experienced artisan will decide what style of bag, colour and surface-finish best exhibit the beauty of the skin by complementing its natural scale patterns. The search for the most suitable exotic skins is a lengthy process, and one handbag requires three to five separate, comparable skins. Each piece is hand selected to ensure the scale pattern is precise at the intersection where the edges meet. Colours and lustre must be an exact match. The Louis Vuitton Exotic Leathers Collection includes lizard, python, crocodile and ostrich leathers. Of these, crocodile is regarded as the most precious and exclusive. At present, no other luxury design houses carry such an extensive colour palette in crocodile leather. To create a classy, matte finish, this crocodile skin is softened at length by hand, before being polished with a roll of wool felt. The result is an understated, satin-like sheen. This bag is the ultimate example of exotic leather craftsmanship.
