A pair of Russian silver-gilt 84 enamel cloisonne sugar tongs, manufactured for the Faberge workshop, Moscow, circa 1908, of spring form, the arms and shaped grips decorated with varicolour stylized floral and foliate motifs, the Imperial warrant and makers hallmark in Cyrillic, the Moscow kokoshnik hallmarked to interior, 32gms total weight, 10.5 cm long. Provenance: The collection was forged with the vendor's great grandfather, who was a Russian Silversmith in Moscow and immigrated to Italy around 1895. The majority of his collection consisted of pieces he had been gifted or collected from other silversmiths. The collection was passed to the vendor's grandfather who immigrated to Australia in 1923 and hence by descent to the current owner.
