An Anglo Indian carved ebony armchair, early 19th century, the top rail centred by carved shells with foliate scrolls between reeded uprights with shaped and lotus carved armrests on leaf carved balusters, above a reeded and foliate carved seat rail, the turned and lotus carved front legs with brass castors, cane seat and back. Height 108 cm, width 64 cm, depth 80 cm. Provenance: Martyn Cook Antiques, Woollahra. Thomas Hamel collection, Sydney, acquired from the above 2013
