A Carlton Draught beer glass in 18ct gold by Hardy Brothers Jewellers, 18 cm high, the top measures 10.5 cm diameter, the base measures 6.7 cm diameter, weight 2066gms. Engraved on front 'Since 1864 Carlton draft Brewery Fresh'. Presented on a custom made wooden base under a glass dome. Carlton United Brewery commissioned Hardy Brothers Jewellers during 2010 to produce a prize in the form of a large beer glass in solid 18ct gold, weighing approximately 2000grams. Hardy Brothers Jewellers hold a warrant to her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as Silversmiths and are also the manufacturers of the Melbourne Cup trophy and the Queen's cup, as well as many other important trophies. Our vendors were the lucky winners of the Carlton draft 'Win a Prize' competition on 16th April 2010 having met the entry criteria, ie 'The purchase of a specially marked 24 x 375ml bottles/cans promotional carton of Carlton draft beer from a participating liquor outlet and having submitted the unique code found inside the specially marked carton. Accompanied by all the documentation, independent valuation and Hardy Brothers statement re. Manufacture. The ultimate symbol of Australian beer - the golden brew in Australian gold.
