An Alafolo club, Solomon Islands. A delicately carved club with flat rectangular blade enlivened by a raised fin on each side. The shaft terminates with a double-flange pommel. The wood has a blackened patina that contrasts with a lime pigment design filled into geometric incisions at the head of the club. Length 96 cm, width 6.5 cm, depth 6 cm
