Contact period hanging Wakahuia Treasure Box or Feather Box c. 1810-1840 of elongated oval shape with a beautifully carved head at each end (see photo). Tiny damage to the lid at one end. Carved overall pattern of spirals. Length 49.5 cm. Width 12 cm. Height 9.5 cm.
