A Chinese Cizhou-type Lushan Black-Ware vase, Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), of baluster form with vertical ribs to the body, and a ruffled mouth rim, the whole covered in a rich black-brown glaze, thinning to reveal the paler buff coloured body beneath at the ribs. 13.5 cm high, 7.5 cm diameter.
