A George III sterling silver hot water jug, 1785 London, with maker's mark for Hester Bateman, with rare incused head duty mark, of neoclassical turn form with a waisted neck and domed lid with urn finial and a high scroll fruitwood handle with an acanthus mount, simply adorned with double bead decoration, crisply hallmarked underside and to lid, total weight 767gr height 33 cm.
