A rare and uncommon Inca culture Pucara pottery figure of a bull, mid-20th century, brushed and glazed highlights, slipped terracotta body. Height 23 cm, Length 26 cm. Note: the excavation by Alfred Kidder II at the site of Pucara (1939) in the Peruvian Andes investigated the Inca period settlement. This bull also known as 'Toritos de Pucara' was placed on the roof for good luck, bringing prosperity, fertility (of crops and livestock), to protect and strengthen the families.
