Description:
A calcified moa femur, Mantell's moa, Pachyornis geranoides, with significant calcification build up evident of being situated on the rim of a stone pool. Length 21.5 cm. Provenance: found by our vendor early 1970's in a tomo adjoining the backend of Mason's farm, later sold out to a quarry. Our vendor notes this being an exceptional example of calcification.
