A 19th century iron bound oak water barrel, six graduating riveted iron straps binding the oak staves, brass tap to end, replacement overhead handle and top screw thread bung, raised on short feet. Length 51 cm, height 24 cm. Note: reputedly used in a 19th century Australian prison.
