Description:
A scale model of 'La Toulonnaise', 47 cm high. Other Notes: La Toulonnaise was built in Toulon, France in 1823 for action in the war against Spain. Stationed for a time in Barcelona, she sailed to Cadiz to take part in the bombardment of the port. During a complete overhaul in 1832, the poop deck superstructure was redone, internal and external gunwales, waterways, and the planking of the bridges were all replaced.
