A stylish French Art Deco palisander dining suite, by F. Pigeon, Paris, circa 1930, comprising a dining table with six chairs and a sideboard. The dining table and sideboard resplendent in bookmatched palisander veneer and accented with striking cast brass inclusions overall. Both raised on elegant splayed legs terminating on brass caps. The table incorporating extension drawers intended for leaves (not included). A small plaque to base of table reads 'Les Meubles de F. Pigeon, 42 Rue de Reuilly, Paris XIIe', the sideboard with a demilune marble plate, the three doors opening to generous shelving space and two drawers. The six chairs with flared upholstered backs and seats, and elegant tapered legs. Table: 74 cm high, 188 cm long, 108 cm wide. Sideboard: 104 cm high, 226 cm long, 58 cm deep. Chairs: 97 cm high, 50 cm (seat height)
