1932-33 Two glass slides from a Sydney theatre, the first shows the finish of the Melbourne Cup (believed to be Peter Pan in 1932 or Hall Mark in 1933); the 2nd slide with text 'Postmaster-Generals Department/ Cup Result/ The next slide will show the finish of the Melbourne Cup To-Day. It was flashed from Melbourne to Sydney by Telegraph over the ordinary wires by Picturegram'. (The Postal Department introduced the Picturegram service between Sydney and Melbourne on 9th September 1929) (The glass slide shows Peter Pan winning the 1932 Melbourne Cup)
