A Nepalese bronze plaque of Bhairava, circa 19th century, the cast bronze plaque depicting the protective deity in high relief, the face surrounded by naga heads and the sun and moon symbols, and wearing naga ornaments and earrings., 17 cm high, 10 cm wide. Provenance: Soo Tze Oriental Antiques, 1988. Other Notes: These Bhairava plaques were commonly used in Nepal as a protective talisman above the entrance doorway in a home.
