A George III sterling silver lidded tureen, Henry Nutting and Robert Hennell, London, circa 1809, the oval body flanked by circular ring handles, rising to a gadrooned border and a domed cover surmounted by a griffin finial supporting a shield, raised on a spreading oval foot with a conforming gadrooned border, 883 gms total weight of silver, 21.5 cm wide, 18.5 cm high, 12 cm deep.
