Chinese Qing Dynasty child's hat, c.1875, in red silk decorated with a pair of fish amulets to the front and decorative with bells and long life symbol to the back, and a gilt official style hat finial to the top catalogue note: the official style hat finial would have been a wish by the family that the child would become an official.
