A pair of famille-rose bowls Qing dynasty, each with steeply rounded sides and lipped rim, painted on the exterior with a continuous scene of chickens and chicks in a garden of bamboo, peonies and other flowers beside ornamental rockwork, the interior with a similar central medallion within double line borders, the base inscribed in underglaze blue with a six-character seal mark of Qianlong, box, 15 cm diameter
