Description:
A Bradman correspondence, 1987-1993, a series of seven letters to the present vendor, explaining his willingness to sign items sent to him, 1....strangely enough I still get an enormous mail and quite often it takes me 3 to 4 hours a day to deal with it....1 [letter of 25-7-89] and thanking his correspondent for his various gifts 'And the Tatts ticket' as expressions of gratitude. 'I've never won anything yet and don't expect my luck to change but I do very much appreciate the thought.1 [letter of 24-7-87]. In a later letter, Bradman expresses quite strong opposition to his correspondent using a 'Cartoon in your book' in which he is shown with a moustache. 1...I only grew one temporarily because of a badly sunburnt upper lip and I think it would be out of place for you to use one such in your book.1 [letter of 8.9.89]. Ever thorough, Bradman goes to the trouble of sending a 'Fairly recent photo' to assist the artist in creating a non-moustachioed caricature. The letters are framed and glazed, overall 50 x 75 cm.
