A mid-19th century quality French architectural ormolu mantel clock, the enamel dial with cobalt blue Roman numerals highlighted with gilt, the quality French silk suspension movement striking on a bell, the dial named 'Raingo Freres A Paris' within a drum housing atop a rectangular form including classical figures, animal and portrait masks, swags and double fancy columns flanking the finely hand painted porcelain panel of a kneeling Madonna with two children within a vast landscape including a distant town. complete with pendulum and key, the front glass dial loose. Provenance: Ex. a Taurang. 29 cm x 12 cm x 51 cm.
