A magnificent Victorian sterling silver centrepiece jardiniere, 1900 Sheffield, with maker's mark for Mappin & Webb, of compressed oval form, profusely repousse and chased with peony poppies and acanthus scrolls, with flying scroll vegetal handles and raised on four, pierced foliate and scroll feet, with a removal wirework frog, hallmarked to, the waisted neck, silver weight 2175 gr (without wire frog), height 18 cm, length 43 cm, width 28 cm
