A fine pair of Chinese huang huali 'horseshoe back' armchairs, 18th century, the U-shaped top rail continuing in a curve to the arms terminating in curved scrolls, the rolled vertical back splat with carved panel featuring paired discs, the straight seat with pierced stretcher of scrolling cloud motifs on tapered legs joined by straight stretchers, 93 cm high (2).
