Large Chinese cloisonne incense burner and cover cast with a deep basin rising to a wide detachable rim decorated with red, white and yellow floral blooms and scrolls against a turquoise ground, supported on three gilt cabriole legs in the form of elephant heads, the main body comprising two detachable cylindrical chimneys with pierced and gilt panels of deer above a double lotus base, the domed cover pierced and gilt with similar deer panels with floral cartouches decorated in cloisonne enamels, all surmounted by a gilt openwork dragon knop seated on a double lotus pedestal, four character seal mark to base, height 63 cm.
