A Fender L-Series VI six string 'Sunburst ' electric bass guitar, 1965, American made, serial number L65415, three tone Sunburst finish, maple neck with rosewood fingerboard, twenty one frets, seven and a quarter inch fretboard radius, offset tremolo and string mute, clay dot markers, six nickel 'Kluson' machine heads, Alder body, multi-ply red 'tortoiseshell' pickguard, three single coil pickups, one volume control, one tone control, four switch control, black hard case with Fender badging and orange interior, acquired on 31 March 1993, The bass player in Thereels used one of these and I loved the additional melody it could create with the extra two strings.'
