A rare Chinese famille-rose vase, Jiaqing mark, possibly of the period (1796-1820), Of compressed form at the centre and very finely decorated with exotic flowers and tendrils on a sgraffito ground, glazed yellow and rose, the interior of the mouth and the base in turquoise, six-character mark in iron-red, For two vases of similar shape from the Qianlong period, one in the Shanghai Museum and one in the National Palace Museum Beijing, see Zhong Hua Wen Wu Jing Hua Da Ci Dian-Tao Ci Juan, pl,921 &922, pp.437-438, 20.5 cm high.
