An exceptional 19th century Japanese iron tsuba by Nobuhira, formed in relief in fine detail as a demonic kao noh dancer with flaring hair, open mouth, his robe with pentagonal decoration to the shoulder and with the classic quote 'Japanese Crane' repeating motif to the lower half, highlighted with gold and silver, signed to the oval centre segment, the conforming reverse dominated by the figure's long hair. 8.5 cm x 7.5 cm, housed in later display box
