A large Japanese Imari porcelain charger, circular with scalloped rim, decorated to the centre with a bottle vase from which a profusion of flowers issue, framed by a broad border decorated with flowers and song birds along with sections of diaper pattern, madoe panels and stylised mon. All in typical colours of iron red, cobalt blue and gilt, the back with three sprays of prunus blossom. Diameter 41.5 cm
