A finely cast large spelter Napoleon III figural clock, later 19th century, mark of Devienne Hongre to the dial, with the imposing figure of a seated writer with quill and paper, a dog at his side, the shaped waisted clock with a black marble dial with Roman numerals, relief ornament and high relief pierced bouquets of fruits, ferns and trailing oak leaves, upon extended paw feet; with key and pendulum, height 68 cm, width 48 cm, depth 26 cm
