A near pair of Staffordshire pottery King Charles spaniels, second half 19th century, the press moulded spaniels painted to the front in ruby colours upon white with feathering, gold details to the collar and locket partly faded to mauve, with individually painted snouts and eyes, one with firing cracks to the base and rear, marked size 5 to the bases, height 15.5 cm
