An important gold pocket watch by Rotherams, engraved to Sir Hector J.R. Clayton 1904, crown wind movement, circular dial with Roman numerals, subsidiary seconds dial at six, 18ct gold engine turned case with engraved armourial to lid, inner case engraved 'Hector Jr Clayton', 45 mm diameter, with domed stand. Provenance: Presented to Sir Hector Clayton was know for his legal contributions as a founding member of Clayton & Utz (1920-Present), military and political careers. He served in the Gallipoli campaign and landed on 25th April 1915. He was later knighted in 1968 for his contributions to the nation.
