A fine Royal Doulton 'Touchstone' cabinet plate, 1885-1912 period, pattern 8139, a cream bordered plate with an engraved gold cavetto and laurel leaf rims, decorated with Sheraton inspired swags and scrolls and three handpainted reserves enclosed by oak leaves depicting the jester character, Touchstone, with his Mr punch puppet, and two reserves with donkeys; with green backstamp underside.
