A Victorian four piece sterling silver tea service with the Sampson Family crest, 'Pejus Letho Flagitium', 1879 London, with maker's mark for Jackson & Chase, comprising a teapot with trivet, creamer and sugar bowl of rectangular and compressed neoclassical form, with threaded bases and gadrooned lower sections, with engraved stoat and motto, 'Disgrace is worse than death'; hallmarked to all.
