A plank-top three drawer table, Ming Dynasty, 16th-17th century and later, the main frame in huanghuali, each drawer front finely carved with Imperial five-clawed dragons in pursuit of a flaming pearl, carve spandrels on the front and side legs, the timber of good light brown colour., 86 cm high, 150 cm wide, 54 cm deep. Provenance: The Estate of Emilia Stella, Milan, Italy. The Collection was formed by her great grandfather who was a diplomate in Peking and Shanghai between 1850-1870. The table was acquire during this period.
