Description:
A Chinese conical Yaozhou tea bowl, Jin Dynasty (1115-1234), with everted rim, the centre with calligraphic style russet decoration, over the black glaze, the exterior with a mixed russet and black pattern glaze, 4.5 cm high, 14.4 cm diameter. Reference: see Robert Mowry, Hare's Fur, Tortoiseshell, and Partridge Feathers: Chinese Brown and Black Glazed Ceramics, 400-1400, 1996, cat.
