A pair of classical bronze figures, each with gilt patination, modelled in the form of a soldier, one standing with left hand to his side, his right hand holding the handle of an axe rested across his shoulders, the other modelled in mirror image, both figures dressed in medieval attire wearing pantaloons, chest plate and a cap, raised on a naturalistically modelled base and a stepped circular plinth.
