A Chinese dragon robe fragment, late Ming /early Qing, 17th century, depicting a four clawed dragon in gold brocade, against a dark grey silk ground, beautifully framed in a raw silk mount, within a rounded rectangular gilded lacquer frame (wear, creases and joins to the fragment), the frame 73 x 58 cm. Provenance: Purchased in Japan in the 1980s
