An outstanding 19th century Carrara marble mantle and fireplace surround, the top with dental mouldings above a frieze carved of cherubs and foliage flanked by corbels. This fireplace was designed and constructed by the finest international craftsmen of the period for the Clarke family, the original inhabitants of Cliveden. The grand entrance doors to the original Cliveden dining hall, featuring stained and leaded glass with a rose medallion in each panel, below, further stained and leaded glass floral designs, flanked by narrow leadlight panels within an architrave. These doors were designed and manufactured by the finest tradesmen, brought to Australia by the Clarke family specifically for the construction of Cliveden.
