Graeme Pollock's South Africa 1970 test cap, green wool, embroidered springbok and 'S.A. 1970' on front, made by Sacap of cape Town. Ex Eric Freeman collection (11 Tests for Australia 1967-70), signed inside by Eric Freeman and endorsed 'Graeme Pollock, Feb 1970'. Very good condition. in the 1969-70 test series v Australia Graeme Pollock scored 517 runs with a top score of 274 (his highest ever test score), and an average of 73.86. (Graeme Pollock is widely regarded as South Africa's greatest cricketer, and as one of the finest batsmen to have played test cricket. He played 23 Tests 1963-70, before his career was cut short at the age of 26 by the sporting boycott of South Africa. His completed career test match batting average of 60.97 remains second only to Sir Donald Bradman)
