Description:
One of Don Bradman's cricket Bats from the 1930 Tour of England, full size 'Sykes - Don Bradman' cricket bat, signed to reverse 'Don Bradman/ private' in the ownership position, and signed to front by Australia - Woodfull, Richardson, Bradman, Kippax, Grimmett, wall, McCabe, Hornibrook, Walker, A'Beckett, Oldfield, Jackson, Ponsford, Fairfax and Hurwood; and below by the 3rd test England team - Chapman, Hobbs, Sutcliffe, Tyldesley, tete, Hammond, Duleepsinhji, Geary, Leyland, Larwood, Duckworth and Hendren. This bat shows match-use by Bradman prior to the Third test at Leeds in July, where he scored 334. As with other classic match bats (like the 5th test bat for 1930), Bradman had these signed by both teams at the end of a major match, and added signatures by other visiting teams; in this case to reverse on left pane, headed 'West Indies Australian Tour 1930-31'
