An 18ct yellow gold, bar, nugget brooch by George Addis, Kalgoorlie, stamped, 'G.R. Addis 18c' length 5.8 cm weight 12gms. George R Addis (Active c.1890-1934). By 1895 he was established at 91 Hannon Street, Kalgoorlie. Best known for his firms goldfield brooches. He apparently had one of the state's biggest collections of gold nuggets, which he occasionally displayed in his shop window. He sold the business to Caris Bros. In 1934 and died 3 years later
