This trophy was the premier event of the 4 day carnival (March 14th to 17th, 1883) held at Sandhurst Bendigo & was won by the Carlton Brewery Brigade with Ballarat City & Ballarat East coming 2nd & 3rd. On the day the cups value was 25 pounds.
