A Collection of 28 Rare Unpublished Photos of New Zealanders in the Korean War. This collection is annotated (on paper with each image) confirming the soldiers shown and the details of the image. There are few images of Nz's involvement in the Korean War as our involvement was so small. The owner of this album has served with 161 Battery, who served with distinction in this conflict. A small number of other copied photos (probably from a friend's album) are also included.…

A Very Interesting Wwii Photograph Album of Gunner W.E. Jones 29 Battery 6th Field Regt. From 1940-45. The photos are annotated and are contained in a period embossed leather souvenir album. Images include damaged tanks as well as vehicles in the desert. Jones appears to have got hold of captured film as some 1941 images from Bardia show Nz/ British prisoners under German guard as well as Panzers. Other images from Tunisia and Bardia show German graves, a German half track captured by 28th Maori Bn.…

An Unusual Wwii 'King Neptune' Certificate presented to a man who would have partaken in an onboard troopship Neptune ceremony. Although un-researched it is named to N.G. Walker and is dated August 1943. The document is profusely signed on both sides by members of platoon including officers and nurses. The majority of addresses are from the Auckland area, so Walker is likely a member of the Auckland Regt.…

An Unusual Small Notebook from Wwii which contains what appears to be code. The book commences with artillery ranges, however, the remainder of the notebook documents travels and liberation as a Prisoner of War. The owner is unidentified but appears to have been taken prisoner in Italy and then transported to Germany where he is liberated by the Americans and sent back to Nz via the Nz General Hospitals and Casualty Clearing Stations.…
