*** Antique military photograph album. A rare archive of Ballarat studio portraits of soldiers from the VRA Queens Thirty, local fire brigade and the City Of Ballaarat (sic) Council. Two photos depicting the Council from 1879/1880 & 1890, 91 -92 with cameos of Mayor Morrison, councillors Brophy, Hickman, Wilson Lewis, Claxton, Gray, Smith & Leggo. Also included is a cabinet portrait of Mayor J. Hickman. Embossed leather album with military motif and colour lithograph military themed pages by R. Caton Woodville. ***
*** Military scrap album An historical archive compiled by Lieutenant Harry W. C. Smith of the Victorian Mounted Rifles, Melbourne. An impressive collection of invitations, menus, music programmes, calling cards, dance cards & tickets relating to military & jubilee events held in England in1897. Laid out in an almost military fashion, that presents well to the reader. In wonderful condition. ***

*** Antique pottery bust of General Charles Gordon (1833- 1885) Sculptured by R. Bremner Stocks, dated February 26, 1885 (4 weeks after the death of Gordon). Incised on the reverse 'Art Union Of London, 1885'. With 'Doulton Lambeth, London' impressed mark in oval shield to the base. 1 of only 2 known copies, the other recently sold by Maggs of London. 38 cm ***

*** Royal Australian Navy officer's epaulettes In original metal storage case. Made by Gieve, Matthews & Seagrove Ltd. This set made for Engineer Captain Arthur Mears of the Royal Australian Navy. Arthur Cyril Weeks Mears, born 7/6/1890. Enlisted in April 1913 as an engineer. Served aboard such ships as the Cerberus, Encounter, Australia, Penguin & Canberra during & between the World Wars. Promoted to Engineer Captain in July, 1938. Awarded Cbe in June, 1942. Transferred to Retired List in 1950. ***
